1 of 5

Watercolor, pen and ink or pencil house portraits are an excellent gift for the person who has everything.

Whether it's a current home or one that has been lived in and loved, we hope you find the step-by-step process below helpful when commissioning this treasured gift.

PROCESS:

1. GCD + Client: The first call to discuss your project! We'd love to talk about your vision- whether it's a surprise for a loved one, a birthday gift, a first home or for the whole family when Mom and Dad are selling... we will: discuss a deadline, you will place a deposit, we'll discuss photos needed- whether professional or iphone- choose a preferred angle of the property, discuss details to be included, discuss details that aren't in the photo, but should be (if at all possible), confirm size, matting/ framing and delivery preferences.

2. GCD: We will create a pencil draft of the of the portrait's layout. Upon your approval, the portrait will begin.

3. GCD: The painting of the portrait continues. Photos of progress will be sent along the way.

4. GCD: When the portrait is complete, your original artwork is scanned and cleaned up and a digital file is created for future use for stationery, etc. Original artwork is mounted, matted and delivered.

We offer 12 x 16"+ watercolor, pen and ink and pencil hand-drawn and hand-painted portraits. Our portraits are mounted and matted in museum-quality, acid-free, archival cotton mat and backing boards complete with artist's bio.
